"Heya Girls!"
Just in case you didn't know, after-work clubbing is no longer all the rage. Instead, we're getting creative after work. But with a drink in hand, of course. Our favourite porcelain manufacturer feinedinge, for example, hosts “Aperitivo & Slip Casting” several times a month. The workshop, which lasts around three hours, includes an aperitif and Prosecco, as well as a brief introduction to the technique of slip casting: you work with a selection of plaster moulds and can choose four products to cast in coloured porcelain paste. And if you like, you can personalise the products with stamps, for example. Glazing and firing are done by the professionals and 10 days later you can pick up your pretty products. If this takes too long for you, head to “Drink and paint”. Over a glass of wine, you can let off steam on the canvas and then take your work home with you. Always takes place at different locations, no prior knowledge required. Well then, cheers!

Eduard Angeli: The Magic of Silence
Venice without people? Unimaginable! And yet so impressive, as the unique works of painter Eduard Angeli show. In them, he depicts motifs from Venetian lagoons with a magical stillness: abandoned houses, an almost windowless nunnery, boathouses without boats, islands in the distance or an orphaned buoy in the mirror-smooth water. Humans only appear in relics of their activities and yet it is not silence and loneliness that we fear, but one that we long for. If you fall in love with one of the works, you can purchase it directly on site.

The fine fashion popup at the ausstellungsraum today offers a particularly great way of glamming up, fashion-wise! For three days, vintage trackers can look forward to the most beautiful treasures to wear and put on: there are vintage pieces from the 60s to the 2000s, designer pieces from Jil Sander, Armani, Escada & Co, brands from COS to Levi's to Marc Cain as well as jewellery, bags and shoes. As always, cross-gender, of course. Included this time: the bag label Vintage Curiosities with all kinds of shoulder bags in the trendy 90s look.

Vienna Culinary Festival
Oh yeah, there will surely be lots of hustle and bustle on the meadows of the Stadtpark again: Austria's biggest culinary festival is taking place there this weekend! At more than 100 elegant stalls, the best local producers offer regional products and delicacies to taste and take away – from Alpine caviar to snail ragout. And at the food stalls you can feast your way through the country, from Vorarlberg cheese dumplings to Waldviertler poppy noodles. Producers are also on hand to give insights into their production processes and day-to-day work.

The Eurovision Song Contest takes places this Saturday – which Conchita Wurst won for Austria 10 years ago! The hdgö is taking this anniversary as an opportunity to take a look back at the history of the contest. But today's focus tour also answers the questions of what a pony, a guitar that is too big and Genghis Khan have to do with coming to terms with our National Socialist past. “Those who do not want to remember inhumanity are susceptible to new dangers of infection.” By commemorating the most terrible times of the 20th century, the Vienna Royal Philharmonic cultural association wants to honour the memory of the victims of National Socialism and consciously confront anti-Semitic tendencies in society. To this end, commemorative concerts featuring the music of expelled composers will be held at historic locations until 8 June. It is a land survey, a dance, an incantation and deals with endangered landscapes and mythologies. With 30 performers, Claudia Bosse composes a stay in the cracks of the earth with dancers, movement choirs, voices, texts by Heiner Müller and others against the silhouette of a new city. The aim is to artistically demonstrate the enormous changes in the environment and their global impact. Appropriately, it will take place on the wasteland in front of and inside the Seestadt Studios – a patch of earth full of planned utopias.

Jazz and alpine music? Hard to imagine that this mix would produce acoustic ecstasy... Thomas Gansch proves the opposite with his supergroup “Alpen & Glühen”. It consists of big names from the local music scene such as multi-stringed cellist Sophie Abraham, portrait artist Manu Delago, Lukas Kranzelbinder from Shake Stew and the radio.string.quartet. Accordionist Christian Bakanic has recently joined the virtuoso summit party, and together they bring a concentrated dose of playful experimentation and musical cosmopolitanism to the stage today!

Corkscrews, chess sets or clocks, a hand, a foot or an egg, always in an unusual combination of material, form and surface – these are the characteristics of the iconic design classics from the workshop of the Viennese Carl Auböck. The MAK is now opening a comprehensive exhibition of 400 objects that explores the materiality of Auböck's products made of brass, wood, horn, leather and natural fibres. A special focus is placed on Auböck's companions and his surrealist perspective. Many of the exhibits hide their functionality behind abstract compositions. Today is the opening!

A bit of circus, a bit of variety, a bit of Berlin cabaret and just a whole lot of Meret Becker. The tent will creak and groan like a sinking ship, but not a single rat disembarks, because it smells – no, it reeks – of adventure!

The event focuses on the potential of art, design and science for a sustainable and liveable future. The colourful programme also includes exciting workshops, such as today's braiding session. The group will weave an XXL carpet, with each participant making a simple braid from colourful pieces of fabric that will become part of the carpet and leave their mark. Das Goldstück
Yes, that's what a modern restaurant should be! A feast for the eyes and with the right culinary philosophy behind it. For the two friendly owners don't care if veggies are too crooked, too small or too big. They cook with organic vegetables that have been saved from being thrown away, or with rare local vegetables – and their cooking is great. Vegetarian and vegan treats are prepared daily for breakfast and lunch, such as braised broccoli sesame stew or Asian soba noodles. And the cakes are amazing too. Goldstück used to be a teeny-weeny venue, now it's a big must-go!
